Easter is a huge occasion in Tenerife generally, and Ayuntamientos pull out all the stops to offer full programmes for a week that is pivotal to Christian belief. There is information HERE about Adeje’s Pasión, the Passion Play held on Good Friday in the town’s Calle Grande, and details HERE about Guía de Isora’s now almost as famous Pascua Florida, the floral depictions placed throughout the old town centre representing the Stations of the Cross. Below are some councils’ general programmes of religious and cultural events over the Easter period, most of which start today, with Palm Sunday in two days starting Semana Santa (Holy Week) next week.
