Tenerife has its own version of the Karate Kid, though hardly a “kid” at 94 years of age! Island president Carlos Alonso has said he found the following performance of Eduardo Oramas and his group of palo Canario fighters from south Tenerife jaw dropping. It will also have brought the sport to a far wider audience in Spain nationally now that they’ve appeared as contestants on Spain’s Got Talent! How many actually knew of this sport?
