Two police officers, one a trainee deputy police commissioner from the main National Police station in south Tenerife, were badly beaten up outside the Achaman disco in Fañabe in the early hours of Saturday. Police say that the attack took place around 3am just as the officers left the grounds of the disco, and while the deputy commissioner received cuts and bruises, his fellow officer had facial injuries requiring surgery. Obviously given the time it’s not likely that there were too many witnesses, and police are seeking anyone who can shed any light on the identity of the assailants. Anyone who can help should either call the Policía Nacional on 091 or go to the comisaria in Playa de las Américas.
