A motorcyclist died this lunchtime when their motorbike left the road and fell down a small barranco in the Vía paralela Hermano Pedro in San Miguel de Abona. At present no details have been provided about the rider but emergency services say that they were called out around 12.30pm with reports that the bike had fallen some 10m down the barranco and that the rider needed assistance. Sadly, however, ambulance crew were unable to help due to the severity of the injuries the rider had sustained in the accident, and he was declared dead at the scene.
