Sunday will be the third anniversary of the appalling tragedy in Tenerife when an apartment block collapsed in Los Cristianos. As usual, there will be sad and simple ceremonies of remembrance to the seven victims of Edf Julián José and their loved ones, and once again the council will hold an official memorial at 9am at Nuestra Señora del Carmen, the church in Church Square in the town centre. In addition, the Muslim community will hold a memorial at 10pm in the mosque Al-Muhsinin in Avda Juan Carlos I. Three years already.
