A 61-year-old man said to be a foreigner in Spain was killed this morning after being knocked down in Puerto de la Cruz. Emergency services say that they were called out at 9.45am with reports of the accident on the TF312 carretera general, but that despite immediate assistance from two nurses who were passing at the time, sadly ambulance crew were unable to help the man and he was declared dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained.
