There are significant tailbacks on the TF1 at Guaza this afternoon following an accident shortly after 3pm in which a bus veered from one carriageway through the central reservation and its barrier to end up on the opposite carriageway. As of 4pm, roads teams have managed to open up some lanes for traffic to move but drivers and bus passengers are being warned of substantial delays. Meanwhile, road safety organizations have criticized the failure of the security barrier, saying that this is meant precisely to stop such a situation in which a vehicle simply goes right through it.
