Hi Gang,

As you can see from the title, we are gearing up for a holiday weekend.  The blog recently has focused on some of the issues, which effect our day to day live’s in the UK.  I wanted to talk about my day to day life, and running a Radio Station, and DJ, as well as an insight into my family life!  However, I have to save something for the book! So you will have to make do with, all the boring stuff!!

It’s Festival Season in the UK, and most of those which are held outside! You buy a ticket in the hope of good weather.  Now that may seem a risky prospect in the UK, with our inclement weather conditions, but those are the risks.  Now this can become a double edged sword, as you try and play safe, and opt for events which have both inside and outside facilities?  I this year am taking a risk by announcing the day of our annual BBQ!

I figured if we used the Royal wedding day! They would of at least check the long range forecast, from sources better than the BBC? We are talking Royalty! And they have an open Carriage bit, so they must know something we don’t!! Well fingers crossed, to anyone who is planning to take in a festival this year.  I will be attending one or two, although not trying to sound like a snob, I only try and attend those that offer VIP facilities! Brother has to have some standards.

I am just over 3 weeks away from returning to Tenerife (Spain), for a few show’s with the team from BBR, from the UK & Tenerife.  I have been going to Tenerife for around 30 years on and off, and my wife and I have made some great friends on the island over the years.  I have made it no secret of my intention to settle on the island, and see out my days, drinking cocktails with the wife.  Who doesn’t? But you have to look at things, that you never previously considered. Be assured our decision making isn’t on a whim!  We have no children, that live at home! They have lives, and make their own choices, we are just here to support, and offer an alternative perspective, to our children’s nonsense?

The issue for us… Is time! We both work, and have busy lives!  West Ham at a weekends, and family & friends in-between.  And then their is our dog!  Granted she is pushing on, but it’s like having a child, she needs to be fed and watered! and even she has here ways, and routines!  Granted we look at a lot of property online, but that doesn’t really cut it.  And after a few trip’s which saw very little new come to the market, we went to plan B!!

Why not find a bit of land, and build what we want! Which solves all our problems, but going to find a ideal piece of land, has proved equally as difficult as our property search, so Plan C, has come into effect! I will let you know what that is in the coming weeks… When the wife, tells me!

It is expected that we shall have great weather for the holiday weekend? I have already given you my thoughts on the weather in the UK.  Now anyone who doesn’t hold with the theory of global warming, come and live here! Beast from the East will soon have you changing your mind?  We name weather fronts, in the UK!

I am hoping that I will be able to wear a pair of shorts, before I return to Tenerife?  I am savourily lacking in vitamin D, or B, or Both!
