The classic Broadway musical West Side Story is coming to the Santa Cruz auditorium between 4 and 6 July, the Cabildo has announced. There will be five performances of the original and complete version of the tragic love story – a modern Romeo and Juliet – against the backdrop of the gang culture of the New York Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks: the first performance will be on the 4th at 8.30pm, while there will be two performances at 6pm and 10pm on the 5th and 6th. Tickets are available from the auditorium box office between 10am and 7.30pm Monday to Saturday (except fiestas), online at www.auditoriodetenerife.com or by phone to 902 317 327. The video below will hopefully give a flavour of what’s in store in case anyone still doesn’t know the stage or film production!
