Ópera de Tenerife has issued a casting call for the children’s chorus in the company’s forthcoming production of Puccini’s Turandot, perhaps mostly famous for the wonderful aria Nessun Dorma, which will be performed in the Santa Cruz auditorium on 19, 21 and 23 March. The selection process is open to boys and girls between 6 and 13 years of age, with the audition at 11am on Saturday 12 January  in the auditorium’s Sala Puerto (access through the reception in the car park).

No special preparation of a piece is needed for those taking part in the auditions, but applications should be made by parents or legal guardians. They should send an email before noon on Friday 11 January to info@operadetenerife.com with the subject ‘Coro Turandot’. The email should provide the child’s full name, date of birth, and telephone numbers of the parent or legal guardian as well as one for the child if they have one.
