Adeje Ayuntamiento is always delighted to join in the range of events that take place to celebrate St Patrick’s Day on 17 March and this year is no exception. On the eve of St Patrick’s Day, Friday 16 March, for the sixth consecutive year, the town’s Plaza de España will join the Global Greening – the wave of international buildings and iconic landmarks that are lit up in green to celebrate this most international of national festivals. Adeje plaza therefore joins with the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the London Eye, the Great Wall of China, the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, the One World Trade Centre in New York, Niagara Falls, the Chain Bridge in Budapest and Matsue Castle in Japan.

On St Patrick’s Day itself, Sunday 17 March, there will be a Mass in honour of St Patrick will be celebrated at midday in glesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (calle Siete Islas, Las Américas, Arona). And of course every bar and venue along the whole of Tenerife’s coast will either be naturally Irish, or honorary Irish, for the whole day … and night … . Enjoy St Patrick’s Day, however you celebrate it, this coming Sunday!
