Police say that a dangerous British career criminal implicated in crimes involving a sentence of around 100 years imprisonment has been arrested in south Tenerife. The Policía Nacional say that the 35-year-old used Tenerife as a base to direct his international criminal activities, and that he was picked up at the airport as the result of a European arrest warrant issued in Edinburgh for organized crime including drugs trafficking, money laundering, and crimes against persons and property. Police say the operation was extremely complicated due to the nature of the protection network that had been put in place to protect the criminal organization. He is now in prison awaiting transfer to the British authorities.
